WorldCare and Stepping Stones partner to establish a chain of autism centers in Dubai and worldwide - In keeping with WorldCare's history and mission of improving the health of all people by providing afforable, timely access to quality health care services through a global network, WorldCare has partnered with Stepping Stones, a U.S.-based organization certified by the Department of Education and Department of Developmental Services in providing a full-range of services dedicated to improving the lives of individuals across various special needs. Stepping Stones maintains operations in California, and in partnership with WorldCare Autism Centers Ltd., has expanded their services in the Gulf Cooperation Council. In response to the extreme shortage of quality treatments and programs, WorldCare and Stepping Stones are collaborating to establish one of the first chains of autism centers worldwide.
- Their commitment and dedication has already been recognized in Special Education throughout Dubai, Stepping Stones was honored recently with three prestigious Princess Haya Awards for Special Education.

Aetna Building a Case for "Mind-Body" Approach to Stress Management
Aetna announced today that early results from randomized controlled pilot studies of two stress-reduction programs showed significant reductions in stress as compared to the control group. Aetna’s review of medical claims’ data showed a positive correlation between costs and study participants’ stress levels, suggesting potential health care costs savings could be realized by reducing stress. Additionally, health improvements were suggested in the treatment groups over controls, leading to further studies.

WorldCare and Consortium Hospitals exhibit at Arab Health 2009.
The event, which is estimated to have attracted 60,000 visitors was held at the Dubai International Convention & Exhibition Centre from January 26th-29th, 2009. The WorldCare Pavilion, a custom-designed double level exhibit measuring 132 square meters, featured a joint presence with Consortium members Duke University Health System, Children’s Hospital Boston, and Partners Healthcare System.

WorldCare Consortium Adds Mayo Clinic to its Second Opinion Services for WorldCare Members.
WorldCare Inc. announced that it has signed an agreement with Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Fla., to provide international referring physicians virtual second opinion services for WorldCare members. Working with their physicians, international patients who participate in WorldCare services can now receive specialist opinions from Mayo Clinic physicians without leaving home. This is the first such agreement of its kind to be signed by Mayo Clinic.

WorldCare coverage for AIG members extended to 11 more countries.
On July 1st 2008 WorldCare and AIG Europe entered into an agreement that will extend coverage to an even greater number of AIG members. Under the agreement, WorldCare’s Second Opinion Services, will be available to members in eleven more West European countries bringing the total number of countries to 44.

The Colombian community now has access to second opinions through WorldCare’s new partnership with Segunda Opinión de Colombia S.A., a company aimed at assuring that its customers and their physicians receive the highest quality medical support in order to help them make the most appropriate and timely decisions about their medical care. WorldCare Caribbean makes waves.
In an interview featured in Caribbean Business in April, Juan A. Terrassa, President and CEO of WorldCare Caribbean, discussed the progress made by the one of the newest WorldCare affiliates. Their first contract is with First Medical Heath Plan, the first health insurance company in Puerto Rico to use to WorldCare service, which has now grown to cover over 300,000 people. With an eye to further expansion, Mr. Terrassa now has plans to enroll additional groups and is looking to bring the service to other Caribbean islands.

Dubai Wellness Center Announced.
At this year’s Arab Health Conference, WorldCare and Dubai Health Care City announced the selection of the land for the new Wellness Center to be developed by WorldCare in partnership with Duke University Health System and Partners Health System. The WorldCare Wellness Center will feature a wellness program, state-of-the-art diagnostic services, and luxury hotel and spa.
