30 years of providing the gold standard of medical second opinions (MSOs) worldwide

We ensure that our members get expert medical second opinions for their serious and complex conditions.

Our exclusive ability to provide our clients, members and their treating physicians with access to teams of specialists and sub-specialists at The WorldCare Consortium® is one of the many reasons why our services are unique. This cumulative depth of knowledge gives our members and their designated physicians the reassurance needed to make medical decisions with confidence.
STRONGER TOGETHER

WorldCare sends cases to the best institution within the WorldCare Consortium for their condition, regardless of where the member lives.

We help our members get complete and reliable information that empowers them to make optimal healthcare decisions.

OUR COMMITMENT

We are committed to saving lives by providing our members with state-of-the-art medical second opinions for serious and complex conditions. We work in partnership with expert specialty teams from top U.S. medical research institutions and hospitals.

Our leadership and focus on growth

WorldCare has a highly experienced and forward-thinking leadership team. Several of our leaders are physicians with significant experience treating patients with serious and complex conditions. They truly understand the value of medical second opinions and the caliber of expertise of the specialists and sub-specialists within America’s leading research hospitals and medical institutions.

Hassan Sharif, MD

Founding Member, Director, Chief Executive Officer and Chief Medical Officer of WorldCare.

Dr. Hassan Sharif, the President and Chief Executive Officer for WorldCare, was one of the founders of the organization. The initial concept started in the radiology department at Massachusetts General Hospital as part of an effort to provide radiology specialists around the world with access to peer consultation via digital technology. Sharing files and collaborating on insights grew into an immediate demand for additional services to validate pathology findings and develop treatment plans: Specialists and sub-specialists could read and report on an image, but the missing element was tying that insight to the holistic diagnosis and treatment plan for a patient located in another country.

His current focus is to expand access to WorldCare MSO services throughout the U.S. and internationally. Under his guidance WorldCare has been an innovator in developing additional MSO services to address chronic conditions such as mental health, disability, pain management and prescription drug usage.

WorldCare is always on the lookout for great talent to help us grow the business and serve our members.

If you have a passion for healthcare and saving lives along with a collaborative mindset, curiosity and a desire to put your talents to work helping others, we would like to learn more about you. We offer a competitive employee benefits package with the satisfaction of making a difference in the lives of our members.
